Joseph P. Trovato entered dental school in September of 1986 and received his D.M.D., in June of 1990. He attended the Brookdale Hospital Medical Center in January 1991 for implantology. He has accumulated over 1,200 hours of Continuing Dental Education (CDE) registered with the Academy of General Dentistry. He has been practicing dentistry in Kearny NJ from July of 1990 to the present. Dr Trovato conducted a series of lectures on micro air abrasion dentistry from 1996 to 1998. He has been lecturing on the topic of periodontal disease and the latest tools used in diagnosis and treatment for over 10 years. Dr Trovato’s organization, “Nuts and Bolts Seminars” Inc. became an AGD approved sponsor for FAGD / MAGD credits in 2001. He has conducted numerous lectures on the topic of a periodontal care and the general dentist. He has lectured for Pro-Dentec until Zila purchased them, Collagenix Corp., Keativ Inc., Biolase, and Oral CDx.

Our practice has been proudly serving our patients since 1958, and has over 25 years of laser experience. In fact, Dr. Trovato was one of the first 10 dentists in the country to be certified in the use of lasers on teeth.
Dr. Trovato has been invited to lecture to staff and faculty at Columbia University on the topic of periodontal care and the role of the general dentist, as well as at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ. Dr. Trovato currently holds a devise and method patent on a technique for the treatment of TMD, orthodontics, and full mouth reconstruction. He was recently granted another patent on a pharmaceutical product and delivery system for the treatment of periodontal disease. Dr. Trovato also lectures on Orthodontics/TMJ, lasers, air abrasion, and the latest tools and techniques used in the treatment of periodontal disease. Dr. Trovato is also a certified CPR instructor through the American Red Cross, and give CPR certification courses to health care professionals.
Dr. Trovato hosted a weekly radio show “Tomorrow’s Dentistry Today.” on WMCA, covering the N.Y. metropolitan area. The show aired Tuesday evenings at 7:30, discussing current trends in dentistry.
